Walt is a true professional. We have hired him for countless projects – replacing our basement stairs, building a new doorway for a bathroom (making it Jack and Jill), hanging pictures, renovating closets, installing a new mailbox ð «, putting up a clothesline, installing new handrail and steps to garage, replacing several boards on the deck, installing a new backsplash, and other jobs that I don’t have room to mention. We always ask for his opinion about how to approach a new project since we trust he will find good and cost-effective solutions we probably hadn’t considered. Robin I’m sorry that you had problems. I wish you had called me to let me know what the issues are. I am more than willing to correct any complaints if I can. You know my door installations are warranted for a year. was it problems with my work or the door? As far as the price is concerned you had the estimate 6- to 8 weeks before the job started. I Also added materials to the job at no cost to you to trim out the job properly. Weather Damage was found below the floor. That cost a little extra but was reasonable. Please respond, thank you Walt

I met this customer very quickly and helped him measure the door. Explained I could do the job within a couple days and that I was going for material at Home Depot now for another job. He wanted me to help him pick out the storm do there and I agreed. When I helped him load the cart I told him I was going to get the materials for my other job. He was fine with that because that was the plan from the begining. Got a call from him ten minute s later saying I abandoned him and he had trouble loading the door and hung up. Guess he did not know home depot will help load you if you ask. He had a 8 ft bed pick up so I did not think he would have any trouble. Tried several time over the next few days to talk with him then went over to do the job. Started the job and he came to the door and he did not want me to do this and would not explain. Guess I made a mistake. Guess I should have seen this thru and helped him load.

That in itself is enough for me to hire him again (and in fact I already have), but he also goes above and beyond the project, returning to make adjustments to a slight snafu, whether the problem was his or not. And, at a fair price, and THAT is why I'd recommend Walt to anyone who needs help with a few of "the handy jobs around the house" that may just be too much for the homeowner! Very satisfied.
